My love for golf comes from my father and his fortunate position as House Manager at Hankley Common Golf Club in Surrey. Raised in Fox Cottage, which stands just 50 yards from the first tee, it comes as no surprise my childhood was spent honing my game on the historic heathland at Hankley. My passion for golf courses led me to a career in greenkeeping. I started my career at another Surrey Heathland course, and after 7 wonderful years, I decided it was time for a change. It wouldn't be long before I found myself moving to the USA to gain further knowledge and expose myself to the challenge of managing different grass types in extreme climates. While working long hours in the USA, I would listen to hours upon hours of podcasts and my free time was spent reading blogs and watching industry content. It was during this time I had the idea to start The Golf Course Craft, also known as TGCC. My aim for TGCC is to build a platform for golfers and my industry colleagues to share insights, stories and experiences from within the golf world and help promote the industry we all care so much for!
